These are some of the unique projects currently underway by RAM Fabrication.
The owner of this car intends to convert this vintage car into a Hot Rod. RAM Fabrication is working to restore the shell and provide a more modern feel to the exterior while retaining the original shape.
The interior will house a new leather booth style seat in the rear, and the front Ford GT bucket seats will be upholstered to the owners' likings. Unique features are being retained wherever possible including the original tin work, branding decals and trinkets.
The 78 year old crank handle engine will be replaced by Chrysler running engine and running the 5.7 litre Hemi gear.
The owner of this 2008 custom built Cobra was faced with the difficult challenge of finding a Western Australian based fabricator with custom sports car experience. The Cobra was fitted with a Chev 5.7 litre LSI with a cast ali sump (which there is not an after market off the shelf part yet!)
The owner wanted the car lowered 2.5 inches to make it look nicer and enhance the ride. Therefore the cast aluminium sump needed to be raised whilst retaining the original oil capacity.
Currently under construction is a late model dragstar that is due to hit the national drag circuit in early 2010.
The owner of this Super Comp Dragstar has had over 30 years racing experience and is looking forward to his son taking the reins and being a tough competitor in the drag circuit for years to come.
